Atishay: Enabling Efficient Governance and Significant Economic Development

CIO Vendor India has put in place e-Government initiatives and information and communication technology (ICT) applications in order to streamline governance systems that will support sustainable development. An important aspect of governance is that it ensures that the government is transparent in its dealings and accountable for its activities. Thus government bodies are on the lookout for solution providers that possess credibility and can cater to their defined deliverables within stipulated timelines. Moreover, proposing a solution is relatively an easy task; it is the implementation that is key; some thing that most startups that have penetrated into this market do not possess much expertise in.

With three decades of domain experience in delivering successful e-Governance Solutions, Mumbai headquartered Atishay meets all the aforementioned government demands effortlessly. Increasing the transparency and providing a holistic view of government officials’ dealings, the company meets the government department requirements with its comprehensive suite of solutions. One of the recent projects undertaken by Atishay in collaboration with the Rajasthan Government was the IT enablement of the circuit houses. “Recently, we worked with the Rajasthan Government to maintain their circuit houses. We developed an ERP for them wherein all the bookings take place within the system where everything is shifted from paper based to a computerised system. Now they are able to track down how many officials are on duty, how many are staying there and what is the revenue they should be getting,” elaborates Archit Jain, Director of Atishay.

Adhaar enabled Biometric Attendance system is yet another of the company’s core offering. Each user is given an Adhaar enabled tablet and
each member can login by means of Adhaar authentication. In conjunction with this, the company also offers geo tagging of the tablets thereby further eliminating any probabilities of attendance duplications or proxy attendance. “That is how we capture the attendance including the location where the attendance reports are delivered to the respective department and that is how their salary is calculated,” reveals Archit.

The solution has been designed and developed as an efficient online system of the Legal Metrology Department of Rajasthan. It is a solution for the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of Rajasthan, to significantly improve the Ease of Doing Business, aiming at an efficient Government to Business services delivery. Through this, the team is striving to create the infrastructure and mechanism for an IT enabled state-of-the-art workflow automation system.

Founded in 1989, Atishay has since then worked majorly in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. And it plans to continue working on several more projects within these state lines. With regards to increasing its market reach, the company envisages permeating into the Uttar Pradesh market with its unique and innovative offerings by the year 2020.
